Social Advancement Through Unity-SATU, Tangail is working in Bangladesh with all people regardless of their origin -race and religion. However, from its inception the organization on a priority basis has been providing assistance to bring a positive change to distressed, poor, disadvantaged and ignored male and female, small indigenous class in the society. Keeping in line with the Millennium Development Goals and Government of Bangladesh, Poverty Reduction Strategic Paper, SATU is formulating its development plan and successfully implementing those at the beneficiaries' level. SATU is playing a careful role to maintain qualitative implementation of its programs and activities. Likewise, every year, highlighting the mentionable issues, the Annual Report-2016 of the organization is on its way to be published.The organization’s education, training, micro-credit, development of mother and children health, women empowerment, agriculture development, food security and nutritional improvement, fish culture, development of disabled people, safe migration and HIV/AIDS prevention programs along with timely implementation of all plans initiated in 2016 through untiring efforts of all level of officials and employees, their sense of responsibility and integrity was undoubtedly praise worthy.National-International donors and development partners especially in smooth implementation of micro-credit program, the support and necessary guidance provided by “Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation” (PKSF), Micro-credit Regulatory Authority, has expedite the pace of activities of the program. Above all, the timely decision of the organization’s general and executive committee has strengthened the foundation of SATU. My heartfelt greeting to SATU’s all development partners and well-wishers.
